Katya Komarova is inspired by the Adelaide Hills nature each day. She creates her products by hand from her home studio in Crafers West and predominantly uses Australian suppliers to create her pieces working collaboratively with local Adelaide businesses.

Katya Komarova was born and raised in Russia. After graduating from Moscow State University of Culture and Arts with a degree in acting, Katya began her fashion career as a model.

In 2011, Katya established her first label byMosquito creating handmade leather bags and accessories. During her study in Florence, at Accademia Riaci, where she studied Bag Design, Katya presented her handbags collection at Mercedes-Benz Russian Fashion Week in October 2012.

The brand Katya Komarova was launched in 2014, presenting limited edition capsule collections.

The designs are dedicated to elegance, femininity and comfort. Katya Komarova’s womens wear features stylish, wearable silhouettes and timeless accessories.

Katya’s collections are inspired by her Russian roots and her years spent working in the fashion industry. Now living in Australia, her collections have begun to reflect her new life.

Katya Komarova takes a responsible and considerate approach to the environment and sustainability. With an inherent love for natural materials, Katya is committed to using only natural materials like cotton and silk in her collections.

This conscience move towards creating more sustainable fashion extends to Katya Komarova’s leather accessories which are coated in a more sustainable lasting product.

Only love and respect for the planet will promote change and although it is early days in Katya’s pledge to sustainability, she is committed to the journey towards creating beautiful fashion but not at the cost of the earth.
